Flash Cards
Flash cards are available for all topics covered during sessions. These are available online and in a printable A4 format. Using flash cards is a form of active recall, the most effective method of testing yourself on content you have learnt.
Online Courses
Online courses take students through revision notes step-by-step. At the end of each small step there is a multiple choice quiz to check understanding and aid memory. Online courses are available for GCSE Physics and Biology.
Students will also automatically be added to a group with other Derby Science Tutor tutees and the tutors. Here they can ask the tutors questions and receive help with work and exam technique outside of tutoring sessions.
Online Revision Notes
Revision notes are available online for all topics covered during sessions. All material included is aligned with the exam board specifications in order to reduce cognitive load. This ensures revision of material is time efficient and effective.
